Mr. Abdullah Al-Madani, Ph.D.
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Al-Madani has more than 30 years of distinguished managerial and entrepreneurial experience in multiple service and business industries worldwide. Prior to founding Better Trends Group, Mr. Al-Madani was an instrumental member in developing the Gulf Research Centre, a leading “think tank” in the Middle East. In the past Mr. Al Madani has held senior positions in organizations such as Cosmos Software, The Emerald Group and SASCO, a Saudi joint stock company with market capitalization of SR 1.2 billion. Mr. Al-Madani has a Ph.D. in Business Management from Pittsburgh University, USA.


Mr. Armand Jetté
Vice President

Co-founder of Better Trends Group, Mr. Jetté has been representing Canadian companies in the Middle East and Africa for the past 12 years in senior management positions. Most recently, he served as the regional director for GSM Design Exhibits Inc., development director for Quebec Cedar Homes & Cottages, and project manager for LUMID Custom Lighting. Previously, Mr. Jetté was a partner of Samir Abboud Inc., a well known Montréal financial adviser to the biggest Canadian real estate developers and commercial portfolios, Québec financial institutions, and Canadian pension plan managers. From 1983-1993 he was the General Delegate for the "Club des amis de l'Europe et des Arts in Tokyo, Japan.  He began his career in 1965 at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation where he held a number management positions for 18 years.


Mr. Klaus Stagars, M.B.A.
Vice President

Mr. Stagars is an international banker with over 30 years experience, having worked 20 years in the GCC with firms such as Bank of America, (Zurich), Sakura Bank (Zurich), Ltd., and BNP (Switzerland) Ltd., in Bahrain.  He specializes in international private banking, opening up new markets, being involved in senior management activities, educating management and consulting high net worth individuals, corporations and banks. Mr. Stagars has an M.B.A. (equivalent) from Betriebsoekonom AKAD, Zurich, Switzerland.


Mr. Bruce Powers, M.B.A.

Vice President

Mr. Powers has been involved in the financial markets for over 15 years. He brings a wealth of knowledge in both technical and fundamental analysis, and a valuable understanding of corporate development and strategy. Mr. Powers was a research analyst at Libra Investments, USA, an investment banking firm specializing in the high yield, special situations and distressed securities’ markets. Before joining Better Trends, he spent seven years as a trader utilizing short-term strategies in the U.S. markets. In addition, he worked for a number of years as a trading educator at a leading U.S. training company as an instructor and content developer, as well as independently as a consultant in business planning, fundraising and corporate development in a variety of sectors and entrepreneurial business opportunities. Mr. Powers earned his M.B.A. in Finance at the University of Arizona, USA.


Mr. Ali M. Al-Shateri, M.B.A.
Director

Mr. Al-Shateri has strong relationships within the business community throughout the Gulf region, as well as internationally.  He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the UAE Military Forces, with a distinguished service record of impeccable achievement in the service of his country. Mr. Al-Shateri has been decorated with numerous awards for excellence and high performance. Specifically, he was awarded the Rashid Award for Scientific Achievement. He holds a Higher Diploma in Higher Technician Studies (Electronics), from the Universite Pierre, et Marie Curie, Paris, France, and another Higher Diploma in Maintenance Management from the Universite Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France, in cooperation with Thomson-CSF. Mr. Al-Shateri earned his M.B.A. in Military Sciences from the Academy College of Military Command and Leadership in France.

 Dr. Ahmed Saif
Advisor

Dr. Saif is Associate Professor of Politics at San'a University and Director of Saba Center for Studies and Research, Yemen.  Formerly, he was an Assistant Professor of Politics at the American University of Sharjah, U.A.E. and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, University of Exeter, U.K. He’s worked as Consulting Editor of the Economic Intelligence Unit and Editor of the Annual Register on the Arab Levant. Dr. Saif was Economic Assistant jointly at the Arab Monetary Fund & Arab Trade Financing Program based in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. He has authored several studies on political economics and political theory and is the winner of the Leigh Douglas Prize for the best Ph.D. thesis in 2000/2001 nationwide, in the U.K., on legislatures in newly emerging democracies. Dr. Saif received his Ph.D. in Politics and MA in Middle East Politics from Exeter University, U.K.
